Many states collect income tax as a major source of revenue; others, such as Tennessee, have eliminated the tax. Consider the advantages and/or disadvantages for state governments that choose to eliminate the income tax and replace it with a consumption tax. What is one thing that you have learned about public finance and budgeting that you want to make sure you carry forward into a career in public administration?
